The modern view of mathematics and its approaches
Is mathematics a tool used in other sciences and to explain phenomena in these sciences, or to solve applied problems in them?
From an educators' point of view it is an important tool for organizing ideas and understanding the environment in which we live.
The drawback to ancient mathematics:
- Automatic training and preservation.
- Lack of suspense and motivation.
- Teaching mathematics as separate branches:
- Lack of observance of accuracy and clarity of expression.
- The curricula contain some of the topics that have lost their importance.
- Not to be exposed to mathematical proof except in engineering.
The part of modern mathematics:
- Mathematics for life.
- Mathematics as part of the cultural heritage.
- Mathematics for work.
- Mathematics for society and the ocean around us.
